Children who are exposed to nature and constantly play in open spaces, have a much higher chance of being bitten by an insect at an unsuspecting time. Especially in the summer months the bites of various insects on children can be very annoying.
        
A child's reaction to a bite depends on their sensitivity to the venom of that particular insect.  Although the bites may cause skin irritation, they usually start to disappear by the next day and do not require any medical treatment.

To relieve itching (itching) that accompanies mosquito, fly, flea and bed bug bites, apply a cool compress or soothing cream that reduces inflammation and irritation and offers antibacterial action. Call your pediatrician immediately if the child has a known allergy to wasps or bees, as well as before using any other treatment.
