Child and minor injuries
Naughty or not, our children have frequent injuries, fortunately usually only minor injuries, which pass as quickly as they were caused.
Advice in case of injury
- A basic first step is to first clean your own hands with soap and water and additionally with a mild hand sanitizer, if available.
- If it is a dirty injury, with dirt, grass and other impurities, first wash the wound with plenty of cold tap water without soap.
- Choose a non-alcoholic tissue antiseptic and apply directly to the wound as a spray, or soak a sterile gauze pad by gently placing it on the wound without rubbing violently.
- For small injuries, use a simple non-stick gauze that covers the wound completely. Such pads come in a variety of designs and shapes, are usually waterproof and allow the skin to breathe aiding in rapid healing
Master Aid, Nexcare, Pic and Ansaplast have a wide selection of non-stick pads, bandages, cartoon plasters and tapes to care for your child's every injury.
