Moisturize your body after the summer holidays

The summer months are the perfect time to take that much needed vacation. Taking a relaxing vacation from time to time is vital to our overall well-being, but it can take a toll on our skin. From dry cabin air on flights to constant sun exposure while lounging on the beach, our skin can look dramatically different upon returning home.

We have some tips that we suggest you do at home to rejuvenate your skin.

Take a bath

Add 1 cup of Epsom salt and 1 cup of baking soda to warm bath water for detoxification. Alternatively, add 10 drops of ginger essential oil to warm water and soak for at least 20 minutes. After bathing, wrap your body with one blanket and your head in a towel to induce further sweating to aid detoxification.

Exfoliate

You can remove dry and dead skin with a scrub and at the same time increase blood flow, leaving your body smooth and glowing. For an easy DIY all-over exfoliator, combine coconut oil with sea salt and rub gently your body in circular motions. For sensitive skin, mix with sugar.

Moisturization

One of the most obvious side effects of too much sun and alcohol is dehydration, so be sure to replenish your skin with a nourishing lotion. To make your own invigorating and hydrating facial moisturizer, melt 3 tbsp. mango butter and mix with 1 tablespoon of almond oil or jojoba oil. Mix well and refrigerate until it sets and spread on the skin as much as possible it's still cool.
