Description

Cascara Sagrada was originally used by the indigenous people of North America and is obtained from the bark of a native tree which in Spanish means sacred bark. The dust created by this bark is believed to strengthen the walls of the large intestine.

Main ingredients and benefits

Arthroquinones, the action of which is laxative, as they cause peristalsis, that is, contractions in the intestines, especially in the large intestine. These contractions activate the bowels.
Emodin and aloe eomin, ingredients that cover and strengthen the walls of the digestive system.
Other active ingredients, such as hydroxy-anthraquinone glycosides called cascarosides (about 70% of their total consists of A, B, C and D and other glycosides in smaller concentrations) with a laxative effect.
Other important components are resins, tannins and lipids, which make up the majority of the other components of the bark.

Returns
