Protect your hands from the cold

It's definitely one of the most common problems we face these days! The skin on our hands becomes dry and rough with the result that it acquires an unsightly appearance and has an unpleasant feeling, this happens because the skin of the hands is more sensitive to external attacks. The cold during the winter months is bitter and our hands are dehydrated.

The phenomenon of intense dry skin on the hands is due to the cold but also to the reduction of sebum production,  which is the body's natural fat during the winter months.

The good news is that you can easily avoid all of the above, by incorporating a rich moisturizing and repairing hand cream into your daily routine. Use it every night before bed but keep a tube in your bathroom too , with the aim of using it after every wash, in order to protect your hands from dryness.

What else can help?

  • Hand washing should be done moderately, using a mild cleanser or one rich in lipids.
  • After washing you should thoroughly dry your hands with a dabbing motion, paying attention to the fingers. Be sure to remove all traces of moisture to avoid skin irritation and breakouts.
  • Don't forget to wear gloves when doing housework and especially when using cleaning products.
  • Do not expose your hands to low temperatures. Wear gloves, preferably cotton-lined, when the weather is cold.
  • Before going to bed apply a hand cream and put on cotton gloves. This is an excellent solution to dealing with dry and chapped hands.
  • Vitamin E oil acts as a natural hand cream for very chapped, peeling and sore hands, quickly healing and rejuvenating the skin.
  • The jelly from the aloe plant can be used as a hand cream and offers immediate hydration.
Protect your hands by choosing your own moisturizing-healing hand cream from your favourites Korres, Frezyderm, Ducray, Avene, Apivita, Neutrogena, Nuxe, Uriage and Nivea.
