A.Vogel Echinacea: The natural remedy for colds

Echinacea is a perennial coniferous herb, which was traditionally used to treat burns, gingivitis, toothache, sore throat, cough, healing wounds but also in the treatment of infections such as mumps, measles and gonorrhea. 

Alfred Vogel first met this flower in the early 1950s, during a trip to the US. Developing friendly relations with the therapist Ben Black Elk, managed to learn the healing methods of his tribe and to receive as a gift some echinacea seeds, which he brought back to Europe. The plants they came from these seeds formed the basis of Alfred Vogel's treatments with echinacea.

A.Vogel uses alcoholic extracts from the fresh, aerial parts of Echinacea Purpurea, which is collected during and just before flowering. In addition, he prepares medicine from the fresh roots of organic plants at least three years old. It is noteworthy that A.Vogel cultivates E. Purpurea from its own seed stock thus ensuring quality and genetic uniformity, while protecting the natural environment from indiscriminate exploitation.
