6 Fun activities for Mother's Day

On this important day for you, why not gather the whole family for creative fun and games?

1. Take an exotic "vacation"

Even if you can not afford to go on a long trip, you can get a little taste of another country, such as France, at home! Get some croissants for breakfast, prepare a lunch picnic with French bread, cheese and fruit or order a meal from your favorite restaurant and experience it as if you were there!

2. Go to the movies

A good way to share family memories is to look at old photos or videos. If you live near your grandparents, ask them to take old photos and children's videos and look back together. Your kids will be amazed at the styles of clothes you wore, not to mention the photos that show you baby!

3. Find humor in family life

This year, start a new tradition by creating a family comic. Take a long sheet of paper and draw three or four large squares next to each other, like newspaper comics. Then think of an event, a celebration, or something funny that happened in the past year, and illustrate it with markers, crayons, or crayons. Be sure to include a dialogue, a date and a title, such as "Our Summer Vacation". Older children can help with painting and writing, while younger children can dictate their thoughts or help with painting. Save your comic and create one every year, creating a creative notebook!

4. Pamper yourself

At some point in the day, you may want some time alone or an opportunity for some rest and relaxation. Make sure you get what you need (and deserve) by asking in advance. For example, a few days before Mother's Day, give your husband and children a list of five "things" you want. The list could include:

  • One hour alone to call a friend
  • Sleep until 9 a.m.
  • A manicure at your favorite nail salon
  • No fights and quarrels until the end of the day
  • Everything else you want and really need!

5. Plant some flowers

If you have a little extra space in your garden or balcony, you can create a real, vibrant canvas for Mother's Day. First, buy several packs of fast growing flower seeds. Next, have the children draw a picture or write a short message (such as "We love mom") on the ground with a stick. Sprinkle the flower seeds in the rows, then cover and water as often as needed. In a few days the message will bloom and you will have a gift for Mother's Day that will continue to grow.

6. Read a good book

Take out a blanket, sit back and flip through a family-related children's book of the day. You could also choose a favorite of your childhood!
