Unique perfumes with unique properties
Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants that capture
their unique aroma. Once the aroma chemicals are extracted, they are
combined with a carrier oil to create a ready-to-use product.
Essential oils are mainly used in aromatherapy and can affect the
body in various ways. When applied directly to the skin, certain plant
substances are absorbed and provide the body with the beneficial
properties of the herbs. On the other hand, when inhaled they can
stimulate the limbic system of the brain, affecting emotions,
behaviours, smell and long-term memory but also several unconscious
physiological functions such as breathing, heart rate and blood
pressure.
